Pond foam

Hair algae, string algae, same thing, bloody bane of my ponding existance!!! I hate the stuff, and barley straw USED to work on it, seems to no longer have any effect. I have a big bottle of Algaefix (which really goes against my wishes to not use chemicals) but have been putting off trying it.
 
Here are two pics of the green stringy stuff. Drive me nuts. It was not there Monday night after I cleaned it up, washed the filter components (pad, lavarock, bag)... now look at it... stringin' along! If I could be certain the algaefix would just eliminate the crap from the falls, I would be happy... but I don't wanna disturb what is on the bottom of the pond because the fish are chowin' on it.

I have always found bleach to be a good remedy for algae....or anything else alive in the pond for that matter! :mrgreen:


(For those few who many think I'm serious....That was a joke. )
