Hello. So I have heard that the way to remove green water was to use a uv light to burn of the algae that is suspended in the water so I went out and ordered a 36w uv bulb for my 1000g pond. Is this the right size lamp or is it too big or to small for my pond?

Not a pond expert. From memory I had a 24w uv bulb for a 150gal tank and I found that made a difference when I ran it for 8hrs daily. So guessing you are in the ballpark but the shop should know.
