Hi, i have a 300 litre tropical sand based fish tank which has a 12 inch oscar fish in, im looking to put something in there like a crab, newt, frog etc but cant seem to find any information about the types of species to put in there, i dont want to lower the water level so they can get out. are there any type of species that can stay completely submerged under water?
cheers kayleigh

well, there are a couple kinds of frogs that dont need land access...but benifit from not getting oscar access

cheers do you know the names/species of these frogs, is there any type of crabs/crayfish that also dont need access to dry land?

african dwarf frogs and african clawed frogs, but both would be eaten by the oscar.and the oscar would eat any crab or crayfish that didnt eat him first.

so basically there is nothing i can have in my tank like a newt, frog, snail, crab, crayfish etc

you might be okay with a snail, but not amphibians and crustacaens.
