I got a new little frog today, and he isn't your average African Dwarf Frog. He is an off white-cream color. My boyfriend surprised me with him but can't remember what it's called.

Any ideas?

That is an African Clawed frog. Nothing like a dwarf. As he grows he will eat anything else in your tank that moves. I have a 12 year old African Clawed frog. She is alone in her own 25 gal tank.

She even ate a dojo loach we put in with her. The dojo was 4" long. This is Harriett. When we got her she was small like yours.

What size tank is he/she in? Males get about 3" in length, not including legs, and females can exceed 5"- go on YouTube, there are some crazy huge females out there!!! I've heard of adult frogs eating 5"+ ghost knife fish. Don't underestimate them!! But if you have the room to give it a 20+ gallon tank with no fish, they are very rewarding pets, and often enjoy hand-feeding!
