Just got done measuring one of my breeder redear female turtles.

She measured top shell 11 1/2 inches long and 10 in wide.

now add tail ,legs, and her big head. You have a large turtle. She also has an attitude problem. All my females do.

My males are smaller of course. They don't have attitude problems.

They come over and sit in your hand. Females want to take it off.

just want to stress the fact how big these turtles get. And my guys grow fast.

Also natural cuttlebone should always be available for your turtle and tortoise to eat. Make sure the cuttlebone is the real thing.

Just because it says cuttlebone on the pkg. Doesn't mean its real 100% cuttlebone.

Only true cuttlebone should be given to your turtle or tortoise.

They need it for there growth for there shell. I have to buy it in bulk.

Just one of my turtle tips for a healthy turtle, healthy shell and a easy shell shed.

Red eareds scare me. Used to work with them at the Phoenix zoo and the wild ones we caught and measured were mean. The tortoises we dealt with were so sweet and the snakes and other amphibians and reptiles were fine. But the red eareds would bite your fingers off. I love turtles otherwise.

I don't mind the females being nasty. It makes it easy to give them medicine and vitamins. Since they want to bite everything.

Why I'm at it don't feed goldfish to turtles. Goldfish are poisonous to turtles!
