Newts

Hi guys, I'm considering getting a couple of newts. Any ideas or advice? Dos or donts? Have never kept any before and want to make sure it's right! Tanks been well cycled for about 4 months, waters still good.

What species? I would go with the eastern newt. Ten gallons at least. Feeds on blood worms and black worms.

I can't remember what they are called, they are a dark brown colour and have a pink/red speckled/patchy belly. Really nice. I know my tanks okay. It's got black sand substrate, a few live plants, does have fish at the moment but my grandad is in love and he wants them, so it would more than likely just be them. Just wanted some tips/advice, as iv never kept them before!

It's a paddle tail newt. I'll only be having one .
