Good evening all,
I have a quick question: one of my tanks is a 7 gallon cycled tank with a filter and heater that houses two African Dwarf Frogs. They've been with me for over a year and are doing really well. However, I have been reading all this time about how they like quiet waters, and my frogs never really hang out in the tank or sing, so I am wondering if the filter's water flow bothers them.
My question is: if I were to remove the filter from the tank, what would that do to the cycle? How often would I need to perform water changes and how substantial would they have to be? Currently I do 50% once a week.
Thank you in advance,
Irene

I would just try to muffle the flow if I were you

How would I do that? The filter I use is the Supreme ovation 210

I use it without the transparent attachment, just the short black tube and a sponge over the tip. That doesn't seem to disperse the water output enough.

Oh then try using the clear attachment it is a spray bar and help keep the flow down

I did today. It actually creates more of a flow than what I have right now :(
