red bellied newt

I have a 20gal and was shopping for new additions at my LFS. They have a red bellied newt but couldn't really tell me anything about it. Anyone have any idea what to feed it and of there are any fish that should not be in the tank with it?

from what I know you can add any thug other than that kind of newt due to the toxins I think the would eat blood worms and maby Pellets if that dosent work live food
