Ok so I got live plants for my new tank that is cycling and today I found a really tiny bug almost looks like a snail. And it is on the side of my tank. Did the bug come from the plant? And is it ok in my tank?

If it looks like a snail it's probably a pond snail, and it probably did come in from the live plants. Personally I'm okay with them, but they can spread really fast and overrun a tank (I have some assassin snails to keep them in check). They won't hurt anything in your tank, the can be a nuisance though.

Chances are there are either more you haven't seen yet or more that will pop up later.. But if it ends up you got lucky and there's only one I would just keep him, he won't hurt the tank at all. =)

They're are aquatic bugs that hitchhike in bunch plants. That's why it's so important to check plants.
