i have a pool in my backyard and the cover became a breeding ground for some kind of toad, so we had 100 or so tadpoles, most of ive collected up and threw into a 10 gallon tank i had extra. any tips on how to keep them? i will upload a picture of the tank in a little while.

thanks,
joma

Leaves and rocks for cover, and wood to suck on. Keep an eye on the parameters (nitrite, ammonia, nitrate) and do a change if things get too high. You can feed them tadpole bites, which can be found at most pet stores.

Not too sure about toad tadpoles but I know frog tadpoles eat algae aswell as the clear jelly they hatch from. I caught a clutch of boreal chorus frog eggs and they are pigs for algae.

i ended up feeding them amphibian food i had and they grew like crazy. i gave most to my moms school (she teaches elementry apparently the kids loved the little toads) and i released the rest into a river.
