Hello, I have a couple of african dwarf frogs in a tank with some platys, guppys and tetras. I just noticed one of my frogs has a white spot on her back. The internet suggests that this might be fungus and that in the first instance that this should be treated with aquarium salt.

Apart from the white spot, everything else is normal. No spots on the other frogs or fish. I had recently left the tank without a water change for two weeks, during which time a lot of algae had grown - we have high nitrates in London tap water, so water quality is a challenge here (you should see the canals). I've been lead to believe that fungus tends to be encouraged by poor water quality.

Can anyone confirm from the photo that this is the case, and does anyone have any further advice before I go ahead?

Many thanks for your help,

Adrian
