Yeah that's why I went with them first but I like how the live rocks look and how the help the natural filtration
 
Base rock is the same over time. Just add a small piece of live rock to introduce coralline and pods
 
That's the plan, most of it is going to be dry rock with 2-4 pounds of live to help get coralline algae and pods. See most if my rocks have been sitting outside for a while anyway so there soaking away right now though in freshwater.
Anyway, do I need to run my lights if I have live rock in the tank?
