the centerline of the beams are 16" running parallel to the tank
I'm pretty sure I remember reading the beams should run horizontal to the tank to spread the weight across a few rather than just one or two. Something I would recommend you checkout. As you probably know there is the potential for a serious injury or worse w/ that kind of weight if there is a failure.
