125 tall lighting suggestions

I have a tall 125 tank has the 48" footprint looking for reef lighting found a 400w halide fixture would this be too much light. Im not sure of coral types yet to tell you what I might decide to stock with. What are your suggestions and opinions

how tall is it? if you don't mind spending for the electric bill, i would use a pair of 400 watters also.

The tank is 31" tall. A pair? Seems like alot I was worried that the single 400w was too much

One lamp will cover about a 2x2 area. You need 2. The tank will look terrible with a single lamp over it. You could also use an 8 lamp t5 ho fixture.
