Hi everyone, I just aquired a 135g with LR ( gonna try to bring back to life ). I got this from C lists to make FW but it had mostly everthing for SW. So..... I am going to attempt my first. What kind of filtration should I use? Its drilled for a sump, but not getting one just yet. Is a protein skimmer and power heads sufficeint? Should I get a HOB? Any adivce is apprecitated. thanks

if the skimmer is large enough yes it is enough thats really the only source of manually removing organics in a sump.

the LR is biological filtration and will break the ammonia down into nitrite, then nitrate. which is less poisonous to fish then the other two.

Thanks for the reply. As of right now I am not doing a sump. I will be using a EHEIM 3216 (up to 80g) cannister and a RedSea Pro HOB skimmer ( up to 300g). Hopefully it will work.
