Yea the pics were this morning when I was getting ready for work. So not to great. Will turn the lights all on when I get home tonight and see if I ca. Get sone better shots of all the rock work. I did notice an abtasia (how ever u spell it) so will be picking something up to take care of that today.

Yeah, best to nip those aipatasia int he bud, once you get one a hundred more aren't far away. Mine even survived a cycle. lol You can use aiptasia X or joe's juice or even kalkwasser mixed in with a little water. You ahve to get to the mouth of the little devil and inject. if you don't it will spread and you won't have killed it. They retract too so make sure you get right in there. :)

Just an update on the tank. Everything so far working good.

Looks like I got a little crab that tagged along with the live rock. But he is camera shy seems like. Lol.

Got some pics with the main lights on.

Looks like the cycle has started. Doesn't look right in the pic. Color is more around the 1.2 - 2.4 range. Pic looks like it's all the way up to 6.1

So I just wait now? And do I do water changes still?

Nitrites r getting up there
Nitrates r as well.

So what is the next step for me know. Do I leave it longer. Does ammonia? Water change.

keep ammo at 4ppm. let trites run off the chart for a couple days then water change until you can read it again. lather rinse repeat.

thats just my opinion though.

you do want to keep the ammo at 4ppm to keep feeding your cycle. the rest is the opinion.

Some one said something about dumping strait ammonia in there. Is that a good idea. Cus I can stop by and get some tomorrow at work. Or should I just dump another clam in the tank. The other one I put in is still there through.

ive read alot about using ace hardware pure ammo. doesnt have to be ace, just pure ammo. you can control your ppm vs the decay of organic material.

You can use pure janitorial strength ammonia in place of the rotting flesh. :) You wanna keep your ammonia at about 4ppm like said above. The trites will start to really build and then it's a waiting game for when they drop to 0. All this time you should have a constant ammonia reading of about 4ppm to keep the bacteria going.

Went to the Lfs today. And got a lot of goodies. A marine beta. Naso tang. Couple diff gobies. Some sand shifting starfish and snails. Will post pics once I get the fish in the tank and swimming.

Got them all in. But they r all VERY camera shy. All swimming around and looking all over but as soon as I walk up with the phone they all go and hide. Lol.

The beta ate at the Lfs live ghost shrimp. But he still ate. So was so excited about that. Since he was 120$ fish lol. But soooo sexy of a fish.

This is the best I could get for pics right now will try more later. Letting the relax.
