So my tanks been up for 2 weeks a .. week ago I did the adding ammonia and seeing if it went away and it did. So on Monday I added two chromis and 2 hermits 2 snails and since yesterday I've been at .25 ammonia..

What's going on?
Will the live stock die.
What do I do?

Two weeks IMO was not enough time to cycle the tank. When you added the livestock it added a bioload that your nitrifying bacteria could not handle because there was not enough of it. Now because you have added livestock you`ll need to do PWC`s to keep ammonia levels down to protect the fish and inverts. This will make your cycle last longer.

Ya. Sine there is a constant supply now it can't keep up. Not enough bacteria. When you added it it went away over time. Now you need it to go away faster and continually, and it can't. Hope your pets are ok!!!!!

If I don't do a pwc will it help my cycling ?
process... Maybe set up some sort of quarantine tank ?
