30 gallon fowlr help

Quick questions
1.What is a powerhead?
2. Do I need one for a 30 gallon sw fowlr tank?If yes, what kind/watt?

I am just restating what advice I have gotten. A powerhead keeps the water moving in the tank so that you dont have dead spots. Fish like the current and corals like the flow. I am building a 29 gallon FOWLR and got 2 Koralia 550's. They are basically an underwater fan. Hope this helps.

What filter are you using for your tank?

You are welcome. I haven't completed the setup yet but will be using a fluval 405 canister filter. Plan on getting this one up and running then work on building a 140 gallon with sump.
