idk about anyone else but I ditched my emperor 400, thing moves a ton of water but I don't think ive ever heard a noisier hob filter. actually my entire 125 is quieter than my emperor hob

what did you go with after you dropped the 400?

fluval 305 canister, not implying that every emperor hob is noisy, was just my experience with them
