Way off into the future I'm planning a 40b fowlr, eventually turning it to a reef. I have a 20 long (but it's 16" tall) freshwater community tank that I'll be tearing down to turn into a sump when the time comes. I also have a 10g tank here that's just laying around and while thinking about ATO I had the bright idea I could use that for my ATO reservoir.
I'll be building my own stand, and I want everything contained to the stand, which will be about 42" tall. Thinking about building a shelf over the return end of the sump for the 10 to sit on top of. Has anyone used an aquarium for ATO reservoir and kept it inside the stand with the sump? Do you think this could be pulled off?
