Explaining the light rather than wattage will give you better results on an answer. It's real hard to give absolute answers on hypothetical questions.

Yes it must be dimmable! I have a 36watt par 38 over my 5 gallon right now! I really like these lights

It's a rapid led mixed spectrum, 36 watt! I am canadian so I got it from reef supplies!

Any hardware store will have a dimmer, that's where I got mine
