I have the tank, light made by tek, fluval 405, and since the tank is all tempered glass I built a hang on overflow system made from two freshwater hang on filters gutted out. I Don't have the return pump, but I do have a tank for a sump. I want to know is a protein skimmer required for this tank right away or can I get it running and buy it later?
