72 Gallon Bow Front(Upgrade)

Hey everyone. I just wanted to share what I upgraded to over the 4th of July weekend. My Fathers Day Gift from my Wife.

Old 55 Gallon

So it begins

Onyx huddled in there RBTA

New 72 Bow in place

Dinning Room was a Mess

Fill her up.

Half way threw and I was in a hurry.

The Next Morning

Everything was kind of scattered around but it clear up very nicely. I was very Lucky I did not lose a fish or Coral. It was a 4 1/2 hr transfer so I got basically everything over in a hurry Used the old water as well as old Sand did not clean it or anything. The tank that I pick up from a Local Reefer gave me some Sand left over from his system. I wash that out cause it was sitting for a few days. The sand from my system I emptied the water all the way to the bottom scoop out the sand and put it on top. That way there would be little or minimal of a ammonia spike. I saw it as all the good bacteria still sitting in the LR and sand should be fine. But anyhow here are more pictures I took yesteday.

Yes the mandarin made it threw the stress... Still looking fat and healthy like always... You know anyone that has a green spotted Female around?

Well the petland around here HAD one. I figured I'm getting a 75 in a month so I picked her up. She is eating brine and is starting to fatten up thankfully. I would ship it to you.......but my mom would kill me for it (her favorite fish).

They have a female striped mandarin I think, hard to tell fins aren't fully extended.

Tank the TANK looks very nice, I love those 72g bowfronts no matter what is in them they look great.

Nope the Petland near the Cherryvale Mall in Rockford, I guess you could say.

Ill have to check it out next time I am in rockford, there are a few good stores in rockford and the closely surrounding area, I forget what street it was on but I used to get some exotic reptiles from them and they had a ton of neat fish but alas I didnt keep fish at the time.

Where, I have checked out quite a few like terri's aqualand pet center and found them to be kind of sad.

Sorry to kind of take over the thread Tank, I'm just curious as I have been shopping at chain stores forever.

How come you don't pick up anything from Aquacave? There are in your area...

Thanks Neilanh... It was tough but I got threw with it. I was extremely neverous about losing corals and fish....

Ouch yeah... That's going to be a lot well if anything I would make the tank the last thing you take with you that way you'll have more time to get everything together and organized for the move... Hopefully your not moving to far...
