i started my tank 3 months ago and its finally getting the purple coraline on the glass but its also getting these purple threads on it, is this normal?

How long and how thick are these "threads"?

there are also tube worms that will build a hard calcium tube that can stick out from the rock 1/4-1/2 and inch.
