A little over a week question

The guy at one of my lfs said to do a pwc of 5 gallons in my 26g bowfront... This shouldn't hurt my cycle will it

depends what method your using to start the cycle with fish in/dead shrimp/feeding an empty tank, if you do decide to do the water change make sure you use a dechlorinator like seachem prime before adding the new water

Well I used some bio sprira and live rock and sand... took my water to lfs and I was in my nitrite spike

maybe do a 10% water change

small water changes often to keep levels from getting toxic but high enough to culture the beneficial bacteria
