I got ahold of some live sand from an established tank and want to add a little bit to my sand. What is the best way to add it without creating pea soup?

You can use along piece of PVC pipe and dump it through that so it goes directly to the bottom with just a little cloud near the bottom.

You can also do the bottle method if you have a 2 liter bottle on hand.

I do have a bottle on hand, yes. I tried with a cup and it's semi-successful. It's not pea soup, but just a little cloudy. With the powerhead going it should be alright within an hour.

But how do I do the bottle trick?

You add the sand to the bottle and place it in the tank then turn it to release the sand it's slow but it works. There are also videos on YouTube that show it as well for a visual

Oh okay, I will just do a search for it then. Sounds low tech, but whatever works :)

It is lol but it works. I had to watch the video as I needed to see a visual lol
