Advise on bak-pak style protein skimmer....

I am getting my 55 gal up and running slowly and I was given a bak-pak protein skimmer. It has two skimmer cups with the filter part in the middle. I have not been able to find much info on these... any help, advise or past experience on these will be helpful. Thanks

That is it but it a dual one with two skimmers on each side, No problems with it..... just the first time I had seen or heard of one and needed the pros and cons of it..... the reviews on that link (thanks for that) seem to be good tho.
