Aiptasia in my Fuge?!

My reef is almost a year old now and aiptasia free. However, my fuge which has chaeto and grape caulerpa is full to the brim with aips.

As long as none get's into the main tank, is there any problem with so many aips? It there a benefit to them?

Cheers.

They will eventually get sucked into the main through the pumps. It doesn't even have to be a whole one. They can regenerate from a fragment of one. They are filter feeders though and will probably catch the extras in your water column. The tanks at the Maui Ocean Center, all had aiptasia in them in small quantities.
