Alkaline Water

I would personally use RODI water. The alkalinity isn't a problem but what else is in the water might be. It might save you trouble down the road.
 
Ditto. If our tap was nothing but KH and other good things for a reef, no problem. It is all the bad stuff that screws things up (nitrate, phosphate, silicate, copper, iron, etc.).
 
Thanks guys. We have alkalinizer something which claims to remove contaminants. I will save a lot if i'll use this but i'm not sure what it removes at what had stayed. Okay then, i'll just go back to my usual RODI water
