Any ideas what this is?

I set up my tank two weeks ago now and starting to find lots of little hidden surprises does anybody know what this little fellow is?

I think its called a chiton..dont know nothin else..sorry :(
 
Yep, it is a chiton. They are primarily herbivores. There are a couple of predatory species, but this would not appear to be one of them. They are living fossils, and quite fascinating. Apparently their radular teeth are actually made of magnetite. They are superior algae scrapers, and have astounding homing skills.
