Gonna be getting an overflow and was wondering about this brand. I will only be pushing around 480 gph and would like for the overflow to be silent.

Looks pretty standard to me. Not sure how much more quiet it would be.

Besides, if you muffle the water noise, the pump noises come through. I rather hear the water trickling more than the pumps humming.

Thanks for the response. Does a Mag 7 really humm that loud? I was hoping I was building a quiet sump because it is in the living room. You're right about the water falling would sound better than the pump.

A Mag7 is not real loud. Might have a slight hum.

Ever think about drilling the back of the tank instead of the overflow box?
