It will slowly starve to death. It eats microfauna in the sand bed which judging by the looks of it, you have none. it will be fine for a while, then suddenly one day it will look as though something attacked it, and it lost an arm, then another, then another, until it's a pile of mush. Sorry bro.

Looks like a sand sifter, but a better picture would help. They don't do well in captivity and terrible in nanos. Take it back, it will die and crash your tank

The average petco employee knows almost nothing about fish, and you should not trust the advice of any lfs. You need to do your own research BEFORE you purchase something, and only purchase livestock you can properly care for.
