Hey everyone. I posted earlier about possibly starting a predator tank in another thread.

But I also would like some recommendations for a cool setup for a 50 gallon. I'm open to all recommendations. I have an empty one in my garage.

Well, I (and many others) are partial to reef tanks on this forum. That is always a good possibility. There are plenty of beautiful and fairly easy to keep fish that will fit in a 55g that are also reef safe. There are also some that are less safe for other fish. One pairing that could work really nicely well in a 55g reef would be a marine betta and a snowflake eel. You would have a hard time keeping inverts in a tank like that though.

Assuming you will have adequate skimming you could even throw a fuzzy dwarf lion fish in there. It won't be an active tank by any means but it will be showy.
