AquaC EV-400 Protein Skimmer

I am considering purchasing an AquaC EV-400 PS for my 450 FOWLR tank. Does anyone own this model out there? The manufacturer claims it is ggod for tanks up to 450g. My other option is to go up to an EV-1000.

I have not used either skimmer but being this is primarily a fish tank and most likely some messy eaters, I would go with the larger option. Given the capacity of the EV400, you'll only be getting about 2x per hour flow through the skimmer. With the 1000, you'll get closer to 4x per hour and much better performance. It would also serve you well if the tank ever evolved to a reef tank.
