Aquarium Heater

My 90 gallon reef is normally between 78 degrees to 80 degrees. I have my heater set at 74 degrees and I notice the light on the heater come on and off every so often. The temp in my house is normally 70 degrees to 76 degrees. I'm trying to lower my tank temp to 76-78 degrees without buying a chiller.

Do I really need my aquarium heater?

I have a 55 and a 130 and neither has ever needed a heater. We keep out home at 76-78 year round. So, pull it and see how much the temp fluctuates. It shouldn't go more than a degree

Took your advise and this morning the temp lowered to 76 degrees. Thanks.

Sure thing. I live in Florida so I don't use my heater at all
