55 gallon tank established with fish for a month. 72 pounds live rock, 2 fish (clown, royal gramma), starfish, hermits, crabs, snails, 2 shrimp. Here are the test results: ammonia is 0.1 (this is definitely correct as I just got a new and better test kit for ammonia) - is it too high?; nitrite is 0; nitrate is 15 (too high?); ph is 8.3; calcium is 420 (I supplement); sg is 1.025 1/2; temp is 82.8 degrees. Thanks for helping. I'm most concerned about ammonia, nitrate and temperature. Am I OK?

it's almost cycled. ammonia should be 0 nitrites 0 nitrate at 15 for a fish tank is acceptable.all else looks good. give it another two weeks to a month before you get some more fish (one at a time is best).

How (what) do you use for supplementing CA?

I add 10 ml per day of a calcium chloride solution I bought from a guy on ebay.

I would stop dosing teh calcium for now. Let your tank finish cycling first. If you do not plan on a reef tank calcium is not tht important to dose.
