Ok first question, Will an automatic fish feeder work for frozen mysis shrimp or is it just for dry food? I understand that the shrimp wont be frozen so that could be a problem. Any one tried or know someone who has?

Second question, I want to buy some fake decorative plant's and things for my sea horses to hang on to, and to decorate just because all I have is rock. Will this affect my tank in anyway? or my sea critters? I just didn't know if I could with saltwater compared to freshwater.

it's just for dry food.
no, plastic plants won't effect the tank negatively. as a matter of fact, seahorses require some sort of "branchy" terrain to hold on to as far as i've heard.
just rinse them off before adding them.

I told my husband that I want more color in the tank. and that's a problem im having. Right now we have a 20 gallon tank until we get a big one so we are testing this out before buying big one. I have 2 harlequin shrimp, 2 sea horses, a peppermint shrimp, 2britle stars and a goby. just need advice for decorating real or fake

It might help make things pop out more if you had a background.

You mean like one of those pictures you tape up behind the tank? I need some thing for the sea horses to cling to there is this live rock I want that looks like a tree branch I just need to find them. I just want some coloful plants that that can have some cohabitation with each other.

Sorry for double post but, the background could be painted, or plain construction paper like I have( I'm a very cheap person lol). I have seen 3d backgrounds too. They look cool.

hmmmm interesting. we are things of getting another tank a lot bigger so maybe thats what we will do.

did you know that those harlequin shrimp need to be fed starfish? that's all they eat.

-fake or real plants, it doesn't matter. they just need something to hold on to.

I really like the black seahorse but I have heard that they are hard to take care of.

On a side note.. Mr. X, your tank at devon's is beautiful. That would be something that would make me want to get into the hobby of sw more than anything. Great job.

Im sure many people do. I would buy a subscription to their place just to look at that. I guess that's what they want though..

Yes I know harlequin shrimp eat starfish, if you look carefully in the picture you will see he is eating one. Apparently they wont eat bristle starfish. yeah they eat 4 feeder starfish a week,so i bout enough to last 3 weeks. So far I havn't had any problems with the sea horses. The female does a lot of cute dances around the tank.
