background color choice

Got in my rock today and trying to decide what color my background should be. My filter intake and skimmer are black so that sounds like a good choice. Man..I sure need to clean the buildup off the glass. Don't notice it until the tank is empty. Not the best pictures but you get the idea...What do you think ???

Blue makes the tank seem bigger. The darker the colour, the smaller the tank looks. But the black makes the colour pop in the fish and corals.

x2 on this, and ive tried out both, blue gives off a nice "oceanic" feel but black makes EVERYTHING pop in your tank, easier to find hiding fish too lol

Does the coraline algae really care about what the background colour is before it grows all over it and covers it up?
