I've been told both that bat fish (orbit specifically) are very hardy and that they are very fragile. The one I hear the most is that they are hardy in terms of water quality, but are suseptible to both ich and aggressive fish. What's everyone's take on this?

I didn't say that I was going to put one in my tank. :p

I am really interested in all these different kinds of fish and other sea life, and although I can't have all of them with my setup, I certainly do want to learn about them. :D

Wow, nice article. That's too bad that they eat inverts. I don't think I could ever have a tank without a bunch of little crabs and such wandering around doing their own thing. It gives the tank the "teeming with life" look to it. Anyway, I was hoping to get one of these when I can afford a tank upgrade, but alas, the idea is foiled.
