Best protein skimmer in sump, build my own refugium

I just bought a 75 gallon SW tank, and don't like the previous owners refrigum

I'm either going to build my own out of acrylic or buy a glass tank from a local pet store

This way I can control the size of everything

I was thinking of buying a 40 gallon breeder tank, but that may be to big for a refrigum ?

I would like to buy the protien skimmer first, then build the tank, next around that

Any suggestions on a good protien skimmer for a 75-90 gallon SW tank?

It's going to be a reef tank also

Suggestions on the size refrigum would be great also

This is a good skimmer for the money.

As far as size, the bigger the better. It sounds as if your intent is to not just make a refugium, but also a sump. A 40b would be great for this application.
