Birds nest is bleached?

Ok so the tips of my birds nest is bleaching. I think it may be my lights. It's only about 6" from my current USA orbit LEDs? Water parameters are all good. Just had them check

Impossible to help with "parameters are good". Do you not have your own test kit? Those orbits aren't going to support the birds long term.
 
I got ammonia and the nitrates and nitrites. I take sample to LFS to test others

A pic will help but If it is bleaching I'd pin it to alk, bn have a hard time when it comes to alk swings.

The others are the most important ones, IMHO your next purchase shouldn't be live stock it should be quality tests for nitrate, phosphate, calc, alk, and mg
 
I agree 100% with investing in your own testing equipment. However, if its just the very tips of the birds nest.. no more than a small fraction of an inch (1/16th) or so then then thats likely growth. If its much more than its something to worry about.
 
That looks like new growth to me. Good work
