I think I over fed my tank with some oyster feast and may have a nitrate spike. Say some brown algae starting and did a water change a cabin. Any other suggestions

Frequent PWC`s and cut back to every other day feeding. Are you running a skimmer?

Yes on the skimmer. I will cut back the food. Reply back with results

how long has your aquarium been setup for?

About two weeks at this location. Had to break it down and move it. I haven't dosed with anything yet. My buddy told me to put a charcoal filter in a high flo section of the sump. I have quite a bit of corals so I'm really want to keep it off them

could be diatoms, which is a known algae that starts forming after a cycle. is the algae on the rocks and sand?
