brown algae?

Good afternoon, in my LS there is brown streaks, i mix it with a rake and its back 3-5 days later, is it algae? also the black plungers that hold my heater and intake to the inside glass, and so on.. are brown, im thinking it algae, what could i do, or is that normal for starting a sw tank, its probably no that big of a deal just being careful, i just started, thanks

Yes that is normal for a newly started SW tank. It should go away after a while. Is your tank still cycling or is it done?

It can also happen if you add new lighting or new bulbs, perfectly normal.
