OK, I have started to see brown algae on the sand bed...
It's mainly where the 2 chromis hang out...

Am I feeding too much, perhaps?

New tank? Diatoms are pretty common - what's your clean up crew like?

1 - Hermit Crab
1 - Red Crab
5 - Snails

It is a new tank! Cycle is finished, so I am just getting to a point to be able to add...
It's 75 gallons with 80lbs LR and 265watt CF, sump pump! I have a PS but don't have it hooked up right now!

Everything has been going great?! This "brown stuff" looks like a light layer.
I was just thinking that perhaps I syphon it out and do a partial water change....
What do you think?

Diatoms are just part of the evolution of a new tank. With high water quality, low PO4 and a good skimmer, they will go away on their own.

Thanks Guys,
I will plug the protein skimmer back in.... Just don't like to listen to it, hummmmm.. 8)

LOL It's going to be music to mine now... :jump:

Guess this is the type of stuff, you just have to do to figure out! whew, such a newbie..... ugh!

Thanks Again
