I've got a new set up 55 gallon aquarium about 3 weeks old and there is a lot of bubbles on the rocks..

80Lb or caribsea OD Live sand
25Lb or dry base rock and a 5lb chunk from my 2 year old 30 gallon.
Unknown protein shimmer from LFS, Odyssea CFS 700 filter
Coralife T5 Light
Filled with premo water from krogers

All parameters are fine. There are about 6 hermit crabs from the 30 gallon and 2 snails and 2 yellow/pink Damsels

Any ideas?

It looks like you have both a dinoflagellate and cyano bacteria problem.

What exactly are your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate readings?

I'm currently working right now so I will have to get back to you on that
