Bubbles in the DSB?

Okay, I know I read this somewhere, but I forgot. I have hundreds of bubbles in the DSB (4 inches) against the glass (I'm sure they are all over, but I can only see what's touching the glass). Everytime some thing walks across the sand lots of bubbles rise up.
What are these bubbles? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's a good sign.
I am getting A LOT more bubbles since I added 2 Detrivore kits from Inland Aquatics. Does this mean those creatures are working or that the tank is just getting more stable?

For every person who wants to teach there are approximately thirty people who don't want to learn--much.

This means your DSB is working. Congrats! They are nitrogen gas I believe.
