I just got a bucket of Seachem's MarineSalt from the LFS. It's a white bucket with a blue lid. To open the container, I'm supposed to tap an inside edge of the lid with a hammer in a counterclockwise direction, and then unscrew the lid. To close, reverse the process.

The bucket makes 160 gallons of salt water, so it's going to take me several months to use it all. Does anyone know if this bucket is airtight, or should I start looking for a lot of airtight containers to store all this salt?

If you keep the lid on tight it is air tight, moisture resistant as well. Ive not had any problems storing salt like that.

Usually the bucket it comes in is pretty air tight and will keep your salt right.
