Buying From Ebay

Hello, trying to get started with salt. I've noticed some pretty incredible deals on Ebay. Lot's of whole set-ups people have to let go because they're moving , etc.

Can anyone share their experience(s), good or bad?

i did not buy a whole set-up on ebay....just my tank,satnd/canapy & some odds & ends

i am quite happy....it was the tank i wanted & cost me about 1/2 of what i woulda had to pay retail, which i couldn't afford

I would definately read their feedback and contact them with lots of questions.
If you are new to the hobby I would read all the articles here http://www.aquariumadvice.com/article_cat.php?fldAuto=2/

Read up on the sw hobby and read about anything you put in your tank- jmo

I got my lights (NIB), and Aqua C Protein skimmer on ebay. I agree with Mike, ask a lot of questions (like ever used copper in tank/with equipment?). There's deffinately some good deals on equipment etc. Good Luck.

You can also get good deals on LR. I bought my old lights off of ebay (NIB) and they were great.I haven't bought much else in the way of aquarium stuff. HTH
