Hi all,
Recently, my Ca levels were off the charts, either from my using tap water or adding Reef Vital DNA too my tank. Either way, I have brought my Ca levels down to 420 with my dKh is at 10.2, by getting an RO/DI unit and stopping the dosing, but i still have white flecks floating around in my tank. It kind of looks like a blizzard in there. I was told that it might be Ca Follout. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any success in removing the flecks from your system without taring the entire tank down and starting over? Is it possible that i have free floating ich in there? If so, how do i get rid of it? Any help will be appreciated.

Moving this to the Saltwater and Reef General Discussion forum.

You can remove the calcium carbonate fallout by use of some mechanical filtration. Depending`on how low your ph drops at night, it may dissolve over time.
