Can diseases infest a DT through inverts?

I don't remember, but I read somewhere that diseases such as ich and marine velvet can infest a DT through piggyback riding on inverts and corals, is this true? If it is, how do you prevent it?

No, those parasites need a live fish as it's host.

But can like ich during its tomont state adhere onto inverts like it does to LR?

It may happen but remember ich has a free swimming stage that is why it is best never to let any of the LFS water into your tank.
